Account & Data Deletion Policy

Introduction

This Account & Data Deletion Policy explains how users can delete their Learny account and what happens to their data after deletion.

Learny is operated by Learny Technologies LLC ("Learny", "we", "us", or "our").

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Subscription Terms, and Disclaimer.

1. Your Right to Delete Your Account

You may delete your Learny account at any time. When you delete your account, Learny deletes user-related data associated with your account, subject to limited exceptions described below. You may request account deletion by using the account deletion option inside the Learny app, if available, or contacting us at support@learny.tech.

2. What Data Is Deleted

When your Learny account is deleted, we delete user-related data associated with your account. The goal is to delete all personal user data associated with your Learny account where technically and legally possible.

• learning progress
• quiz activity
• game session activity
• avatar selection data
• topic progress
• Stars and reward data
• streak or activity data
• app preferences connected to your account
• other user-related app data stored by Learny

3. Chat History Deletion

Learny stores AI chat history to provide conversation continuity and learning personalization. When you delete your account, your chat history associated with the account is deleted. This includes saved text conversations with AI avatars.

4. Voice Data

Learny does not store voice audio recordings on its servers. When voice input is used, native iOS or Android speech-to-text tools may convert speech into text on or through your device environment. Learny receives the converted text message, not a stored audio recording. Because Learny does not store user voice audio recordings, there is no Learny-hosted voice audio file to delete. If the converted text was saved as part of chat history, it is deleted when your account and chat history are deleted.

5. Stars and Rewards Deletion

When your account is deleted, your Stars, reward history, streaks, and related in-app progress are deleted. Stars have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. At the current stage, Stars cannot be purchased for money, and Star Shop items cannot be purchased with Stars or real money. Deleted Stars or reward data cannot be restored after account deletion.

6. Subscription Status and Purchases

Deleting your Learny account does not automatically cancel your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it through Apple App Store, if purchased through Apple, or Google Play, if purchased through Google. Apple and Google may retain payment, subscription, and transaction records according to their own terms and legal requirements. Learny cannot delete Apple or Google payment records.

7. App Store Transaction Records

Learny may receive limited subscription-related status information from Apple or Google to provide access to paid features. After account deletion, Learny deletes user-related app access records where technically and legally possible. However, Apple and Google may independently retain transaction history, invoices, purchase confirmations, or subscription records under their own policies.

8. Analytics Data

Learny uses standard analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and/or Firebase Analytics. When your account is deleted, Learny deletes account-linked user data where possible. Some analytics data may remain in aggregated, anonymized, or non-identifiable form. Aggregated analytics cannot reasonably identify you and may be retained for product analytics, security, reporting, and performance improvement.

9. Backups and Technical Logs

Some deleted data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or security systems for a limited period. This may happen for technical, security, fraud prevention, disaster recovery, or legal reasons. Where backup data exists, it is not used for active product features and is deleted or overwritten according to normal backup retention processes.

10. Legal and Security Exceptions

In limited cases, we may retain certain information only for as long as reasonably necessary if needed for legal, security, or operational purposes.

11. Deletion Requests by Email

To request deletion by email, contact support@learny.tech. Please include enough information for us to identify your account. We may need to verify your identity before deleting the account.

• confirmation that you want to delete your Learny account and associated user data

12. Deletion Timeline

We aim to process account deletion requests within a reasonable period. Some deletion actions may happen immediately inside the app. Other deletion actions may require additional processing time due to technical systems, backups, security logs, or app store-related records. Where legally required, we will process deletion requests within the applicable legal timeframe.

13. Consequences of Account Deletion

Account deletion is permanent. Deleted data may not be recoverable. After deletion, you may lose access to your Learny account and user-related data.

14. Creating a New Account After Deletion

After deleting your account, you may create a new Learny account if account creation is available. A new account will not automatically restore deleted data, previous Stars, chat history, learning progress, or subscription-linked data unless technically supported and permitted by Apple or Google purchase restoration rules. If you had an active subscription, you may need to restore purchases through the applicable app store.

15. Child or Teen Account Concerns

Learny is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a user under 13 has created a Learny account, contact us at support@learny.tech. We will review the request and take appropriate action, including account deletion where required.

16. Data That Learny Does Not Store

At the current stage, Learny does not store user voice audio recordings on its servers. Learny also does not currently use Firebase Storage to store user-uploaded personal files or user-generated personal media. Firebase Storage is used for app-related technical assets and resources, such as Rive files or other non-user content. If this changes in the future, we will update our Privacy Policy and related policies.
